This shot was part of a series using colored gels as the backlight and a snoot for a more focused front facial lighting. There were various colors (red, amber, and blue) used with this model. This image was actually taken in a very well lit room, but with a fast shutter speed of 1/8000 to completely eliminate the background. Aperture was f/1.8 for the model, and shot in manual mode.
