HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHER – SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. I am a professional photographer serving the San Francisco Bay Area, including Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, Marin, Santa Clara, and all cities and areas in-between.
I specialize in high-end professional headshot photography and portrait photography for individuals, corporate professionals, models, and actors. Headshot sessions can be conducted either in-studio or on-location, using both a combination of studio and/or natural lighting to create one-of-a-kind stunning headshots. My goal as a headshot photographer is to provide a relaxed, fun, and professional environment where the resulting headshots from our photoshoot will bring out the very best in you.
My mission is to capture a sincere unique look, catered to the needs of each individual. As you can see from the wide variety of styles I have shot, headshots are best when they bring out the unique expressions or gestures that defines each person. Our headshot session will be custom tailored to bring out your individuality based on the headshot style you prefer. This can be a corporate headshot, a beauty headshot for modeling portfolios (lookbooks or model cards), an actor/actress headshot for film or theater, a professional headshot for social media, (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), an updated headshot for online dating (Tinder, Match.com, Bumble, OKCupid, etc.,) and so on. In headshot photography, these sessions are often called “Personal Branding Sessions” because an excellent headshot will become your personal brand. Especially in San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley, it’s important to select a professional headshot photographer like myself who can cater each session to get the exact shot you need.

For businesses, group and team corporate headshots are often needed for web sites, online staff directories, or for various marketing purposes. These images need to be both professional and authentic to accurately reflect your business. Thus, each group corporate shoot is customized to reflect the needs of your business. Would you like in-studio headshots with a dark gray background like the shots below? Maybe your company would prefer a pure white background, or a solid black background? Or how about even a splash of color with a red, blue, or green background? Or perhaps your business would like outdoor natural-light headshots which are not in-studio, and have an upscale urban backdrop? No problem. Each shoot is custom to the needs of your business. My objective is to always create beautiful, professional images that meet the marking objectives of your business. This means the shoot can take place inside my Berkeley studio, inside your office on-location, or outdoors either near my studio or at your location for a look where the background environment can be virtually endless.

This is a vibrant style for an in-studio headshot. For this type of headshot, all shots are taken in-studio with a complex lighting setup that uses colored gels and unique background materials to achieve this stylish look. As you can see in these shots, there’s bokeh in the background, and the only changes applied to the shot are the different colored gels shot into both the background and as side kicker lights on the subject. This allows for versatility and unique color combinations just by changing the gels.

Professional headshot photography can be taken either outdoors or in-studio to achieve the exact customized look for your session. Each project is custom catered to your exact needs and budget. My goal is to ensure that we create beautiful, professional images that will meet your exact needs, in a relaxed and professional environment. This can take place in my Berkeley studio, where I have a wide variety of seamless background colors from Savage Universal, or we can do an outdoor shoot for a look where the background environment can be virtually endless.

Beauty headshot photography is a specialized genre, created to showcase an individual’s beauty in a more focused setting. The is a speciality look that can be shot for anyone, but takes a unique skillset in selecting a beauty headshot photographer. Commercially, these shots are used in cosmetics ads, makeup artist portfolios, or headshots for models in their lookbooks, model cards, or portfolios. However, anyone can take advantage of a beauty headshot to capture timeless beauty in a photograph.
