About My Studio
My photo studio is located at 2701 Eighth Street, Studio 204, Berkeley, CA 94710, at the corner of Eighth and Carlton streets. It is located inside the historic Berkeley Kitchens Building in West Berkeley, just past the Ikea in Emeryville off the Ashby exit of Interstate 80. This building is a wonderfully restored space, fully renovated in 2013, and is home to both artist studios upstairs, and small/medium scale food business downstairs baking bread and healthy food options. There is also an upscale cafe down below featuring delicious pastries, coffee, lunch and pantry items using produce fresh from the farmer’s market.

The interior of my studio features a clean and inviting environment, conducive to creating wonderful headshots & portraits, all the way to full-length catalog and e-commerce photography. I have a wide variety of light modifiers in-studio to assist in creating customized looks and styles based on your exact desired photographic style. I even have some unique lighting options, like a custom ringlight I built that creates a highly unique look for beauty headshots and softer more intimate headshots/portraits.

If you are looking for a headshot or portrait with a particular background color, my studio has over 25 different seamless backdrop colors to choose from to assist you. My studio’s restored hardwood floor also provides a nice backdrop for those wanting fitness or yoga shots that have a clean and inviting look. There are also a multitude of wonderful outdoor shooting locations around my studio in West Berkeley that serve as a backdrop for many of the outdoor headshots and portraits I have taken. Thus, my studio can also be used as a bace location for hair/makeup, as we explore some nearby shooting locations outdoors for some truly unique shots. My studio also has a large outdoor private balcony that gives even more opportunities for outdoor shooting locations with a unique backdrop.
