Just had to share another Hypercolor series from my photo shoot with model Nicole Cherye (@nicolecherye). I’m back to using one of my favorite color combinations with my Hypercolor colored gel photography by using teal and orange colored gels, in front of a Teal seamless paper color from Savage Universal.
I shot this again using a three light setup, with the key light being an Einstein e640 from Paul C. Buff, Inc. with a teal gel applied, along with two Einstein e640’s as kicker lights with the orange gels. The orange gels were dialed up to really give a vivid and almost neon-like look to the orange colors. Then adjustments made in post-production allowed for the colors to really pop.
There are a variety of color combinations that really play well together, and styling and wardrobe really plays a role to achieve that ultra modern sci-fi look. Here Nicole’s orange top and futuristic sunglasses really set the stage for a great color combination. You can see some of my other artistic Hypercolor shots in the Hypercolor section of my portfolio here.
